Mr. Daniel Brown
Granite State Poker. LLC
Rockingham Park
Salem, NH

Dear Mr. Brown;

On behalf ofthe Board of Directors of Play Among The StarsTheatre Groupe, mc,. I would like to express our appreciation for the opportunity to participate in the games of chance as a community volunteer group.

Play Among the Stars in a non-profit organization for the physically and developmentally challenged. Based in Salem, serving special needs clients in Salem and its surrounding communities.

The purpose of our group is to enhance social skills, to provide knowledge of performing arts, dance and music ability, to further develop enrichment skills, personal challenges, relationship skills, language skills, physical and motor development, self esteem and confidence, and to have a sense of being involved in their community.

The opportunity to participate in this program came about halfway through the year, and I cannot begin to tell you what a blessing it has been. We are funded solely through various events that the Board of Directors chair, such as our annual golf tournament; Yankee Candle Iiindraiser; BBQ; Bowl-a Thon, etc. We do not write grants for State or Federal funding.

We provide transportation to our clients to and from weekly rehearsals, all Costumes and props for the two shows we produce each year, and rental space for those items, as well as all expenses incurred to produce the shows. We currently rent the Pleasant Street United Methodist Church, for rehearsal and Salem High School for the Shows. Our goal is to one day, have a "Play Among the Stars Theater". A place for us to contain our costumes and props. A place for our talented group to rehearse and perform. A Center for the Arts to share with the community.

As one of the volunteer organizations participating in this opportunity, I can’t begin to express how happy we are to be included. I have spoken with members from other groups participating, and I can say that we all appreciate the benefits of your business.

Granite State Poker and Rockingham Park have turned our dream into a goal. It is our hope that this business venture will continue for years to come, and that Play Among the Stars will continue to participate.

Once again, thank you for allowing us to be a part of this venture.

With much appreciation
Sincerely,

Diane Hatem

Dear Mr. Brown,

The Board of Dollard for Scholars would like to thank you for making the Texas Hold’em evenings “stress free”.  It has been a pleasure to work with your staff during each event.  Each staff member has taken care to see that we have all of the information to make each evening a success.

The staff at Granite State Poker has been informative and supportive at teach event.  Any changes that have come about since out previous event date are shared with us at the start of our day.  Any questions we have (and sometimes there are many) are answered with patience and complete clarity.  The end of the evening tally is reviewed with us in detail, with all of the proper documentation ready in a timely fashion.  This allows us to complete our state report within the proper time frame.

I am most impressed with the support that is received from your staff when a participant of the games becomes difficult.  Never a hesitation to step in and smooth some feathers, an attribute that is most appreciated by my volunteer staff.

You and your staff have been on top of each of our events so that they have run like clockwork, this in turn had provided us with a financial opportunity way beyond our expectations.

It has been a pleasure working with you and I look forward to doing the same in 2008.

Sincerely,

Laura Lee Loftus

"When the Bishop Peterson Council, Knights of Columbus, was approached about our interest in hosting charity-based poker tournaments, our most immediate concern was making sure that the good reputation that we had built would not be lost on a venture that involved any potential for inappropriate conduct by newly acquired partners.

Rockingham Park, the host for the tournaments was a known entity to us.  They have always been regarded as good corporate citizens, deeply involved in charitable and civic affairs.  In fact, the Knights have partnered with Rockingham for several years on its highly successful Bingo events.

When we were introduced to Granite State Poker Company, many promises were made by the proposed game operators.  Trusting in the high regard that Rockingham had for Granite State Poker, we decided to partner with both parties, mindful that if we became uncomfortable with either, we could leave the arrangement.

We are pleased to share with all that Granite State Poker and Rockingham Park have been excellent partners, true to the spirit and letter of the New Hampshire laws regarding Games of Chance.  The professional demeanor, the mutual trust and confidence in each other has made for a rewarding venture for the Knights, our charitable causes and, I trust for Rockingham Park and Granite State Poker."

Larry Belair & Lou Stella, Bishop Peterson Council 4442, Knights of Columbus
